Thankful Thursday-My Savior

As I’m just getting my feet wet in the personal blogosphere river of posts, I thought it would be nice to participate in memes to not only get my own ball rolling, but also to give you a glimpse into the mommy behind the blog.
Being a Christian is the center of my life, it’s why I am who I am (though I’ve got an awfully long way to get to where I want to be). Therefore, when I came across the Thankful Thursday theme I couldn’t pass it up.
Being my first entry of thanks, I have to give props to the Father who makes it all possible: today I am thankful for salvation.
I was fortunate enough to be raised in church. My mother and grandmother made sure we were there every time the doors were open and at the tender age of 8 years old I personally accepted Christ as my Lord and Savior. I wish I could claim to have grown spiritually by leaps and bounds since then, but it would just not be so. I’m a work in progress.
Though all my faults, my sins, and my short comings, I rest assured that my feet are on the solid rock and my heart securely in the hands of the One who created the universe. Today and every day, I am thankful for eternal life through Jesus Christ.

AMEN!!!! I pray that my sons accept Him as Savior at a young age also. I was 4. Thank you for the post! It made my day:)
